Qwest Policies
Safety Equipment
Qwest
Management has given the Union notice that in 2005, Qwest will be pushing the
Safety button on everyone. It has been
stated that ANYONE caught not wearing all of their safety equipment while working
on a safety-sensitive job, may face disciplinary action as a direct result if
they do not protect themselves by following this policy.
We,
at the Union Hall, feel that safety is and should be everyone’s priority. As long as you have been issued, trained and
covered on all safety equipment, policies, and procedures, we do not have an
argument when it comes to safety.
Especially seeing how it was the Unions that historically pushed for
safer working conditions.
Remember:
Be where you are supposed to be, wear
what you are supposed to be wearing, and do your job in a safe and professional
manner, and you should have nothing to worry about.
