Pathways for Qwest Employees
PATHWAYS is an educational benefit which was bargained for through negotiations between the Company and the Union. PATHWAYS offers the following:
źUnlimited prepaid tuition and fees for undergraduate degree programs, plus up to $300 tuition for personal development courses.
ź$2,100 prepaid tuition plus fees for vocational training, credit or non-credit courses, certificate and license programs. Up to $300 of $2,100 can be used for personal development courses.
źUnlimited prepaid tuition and fees for employees who choose the Essential Skills option.
źReimbursement for textbooks upon course completion.
źEducation and career planning assistance.
źAssessment of skills, interests, aptitudes and prior learning.
źPeer support offered through a network of PATHWAYS advocates who work at Qwest.
źOptions for former employees eligible under the Qwest separation plans.
We have a Metro-Site Coordinators’ Committee that meets quarterly with some of the educational providers. Many classes are held on Qwest sites. There are four PATHWAYS Advocates:

There are many schools eligible for PATHWAYS dollars, and there are others that are not. Make sure the school you apply at is eligible. Call PATHWAYS if there is a question on the school you plan to attend.
