Special Note: United Way – Juliet Evans Nelson Scholarship

We received notification that another scholarship is available for our members’ children

to apply for. It is a $2,500 scholarship that is available through the United Way. The

applicants must be high school juniors for the 2005-2006 school year and must live and

volunteer in Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Ramsey, Scott or

Washington counties. The student must be planning to enter post-secondary education

in the fall of 2006. A typed application and two letters of recommendation must

be submitted by March 11, 2006 to be eligible. This scholarship recognizes the

contributions that young people make in our community.
